Just wondering what everyone else does when reefing boredom sets in? We just had a long weekend and all my chores are done!!
Clean Skimmers - Check.
Change socks if they're in there - Check.
Fill ATO tanks - Check.
Water changes - Check.
Testing all parameters - Check.
Clean the glass (OCD style) - Check.
Make a few frags (just because you're bored) - Check.
Read Reef2Reef every few hours - Check.
I think you get the idea - eventually I run out of things to do - So what do I do?

It seems that I get online and look for places to spend $$!!! (much to the wife's dismay!).
So off to the LFS I go to buy whatever supplies I need. Salt, a few frags, fish food ($250 later I'm good).

Then check the tanks for anything to be done (OCD) Nope - Better go read R2R for a while that will do it.

As I read I see that there is a sale on Ecotech!!! New MP60 ordered! (Wow, wife is gonna be MAD!).

This is the madness I live with everyday (well not so much the out of control spending, but the urge is always there) How do you cure the Reefing boredom/addiction?

Advance up to a harder specimen. Feather Duster led to Flame Scallop which is now leading me to a dedicated tank

Yea I get really bored especially my current transition/upgrade to larger tank. I've learned that keeping Dendrophylia or sun Coral can keep me busy. Feeding sunburst Anthias and pipefish multiple times per day also take time.

@keddre
That's a good answer!!! For me that would mean more tanks! Uh - I think the wife would kill me, already have 2 (40 and 350g). Something I will consider though.
At least I could spend a few hours considering what it would be and how I would build it!

Good answer too, consume my time with animals that take greater levels of care. It's on the list!

I'm already planning the tank for my future house and I still have two more years of college then two of grad school left. lol

I'm hoping your're getting some reef love between now and then - even if it is something small to "Tide" you over! (Man I kill me!)
