I was wondering what do you feed your captive bred clowns from the Divers Den? I purchased a bonded pair of gladiator clowns the other day and they really haven't been eating anything I have been offering. I have tried all different types of frozen (LRS, Rods Reef, Brine, Mysis, Squid) as well as all different sizes of pellet food from Reef Nutrition and a few others brands I had lying around. I have also tried soaking food it selcon and garlic with no luck, any help would be appreciated. All the fish I have received in the past eat pretty much anything I throw at them so I am a little stumped.

Thanks in advance for the help

Sometimes clowns can stress out and won’t eat for a few days. If he isn’t eating by next week, then I would be worried.

I got a clown from DD a couple weeks ago. It took her 8 days to start eating and she showed interest in omega one flake and then formula one pellets. She now eats pellets and frozen no problem. She doesn’t eat the flake now, which is fine because it’s messy.

After trying literally everything I have to offer I finally got them to start eating the New Life Spectrum pellets which I never really used (or remember buying honestly). They are VERY small pellets but both ORA clowns seem to be picking at it with interest. Well see how it goes but for now at least they are eating something and I will continue trying to get them over to frozen.

Apologies for the delayed response. Our staffing is limited on the weekends and we have had increased volumes in all areas. We feed enriched brine and mysis shrimp along with NLS pellets and Cobalt Marine pellets. Glad they are starting to eat for you. Thank you for your order!
