What Do You Feed to Your LPS Corals?

I feed every 2-3 days.... I do not broadcast feed. I turn everything off and spot feed a blend of the two.... It has just about everything you can need in both of them

And Judging by your Corals, I'd say they Love it and get about everything they need!

Reef Frenzy, NutraMar Ova, Rods Complete, Artic Pods, and Coral Extacy....just to name a few :)

How often do you feed them? It seems like just about everyone does about every 2-3 Days. This is all good info I hope more people than me are getting better feeding ideas.

mysis at night when they are open up, or if im lazy i jus turn off flow and add mix of snow with coral frenzy

So do you feed fish.. Then at night feed corals Mysis? I did that once but I started thinking I was over feeding.

Reef frenzy all day every day. IMHO...there is no other food that compares to it. Super clean food and corals go crazy for it!!!

If you have not tried it, please treat your tank to it! He is a local guy in NC and his food has exploded in the market all in the U.S. again, superior food, I can't say enough good things about it.

Ok so what is Coral Frenzy? I pictured a Creamy Liquid like Oyster Feast.. 2x a Day I bet your Corals Love That!!

I try to mix it up. Who wants the same thing all the time right? I use rods coral formula and I mix it with either a cube of cyclopeeze or rotifers and to that I add fauna Marin sea fan and a dash of reef chili. Although I've got to try coral frenzy as I've heard nothing but good things about it. I target feed this mixture first as this helps some of my chalices accept the Fauna Marin pellets. I roll the pellets between my fingers to break them into smaller pieces for those with smaller mouths. I do this twice a week and on those days the fish get a little less to keep nutrient import stable.
I have recently started Red Sea energy a and b to the mix when I feed the corals. The directions don't say when to add this to the tank so I do it when I feed the corals cause its at night and this stuff discoloration the water. Also you have to turn your skimmer off for the a and b so this benefits the corals by not pulling out the plankton and other small bits of food allowing greater contact time for corals to fill their bellies.

That sounds like a Great Diet! Your fish and Coral have got to be Happy! I have to look into that Red Sea Energy A and B. Did you pick that up at a LFS?

Thanks, Ill keep an eye out.

spectrum pellet and fish poop. occasionally, mysis.

Ok, So do you feed the Spectrum to any Coral? I also feed that to the fish but i've never tried it as a Coral food... Pieces fall into the Scolys and they Love it but I dont feed it to any on purpose.

We also feed our corals Coral Frenzy every other day. Sometimes Phyto Feast and we feed the fish twice a day.

I feed my tank (LPs Sps and fish) with either Wicked Feastâ„¢ or Reef Keefâ„¢ which are both home made personal recipes from fellow reefers.

I get my Wicked Feastâ„¢ from a local Reefer and all my corals fish and inverts love it!!!!

I have just started testing and trying Reef Keefâ„¢ with some good results!! My fish go crazy for phase 2 and my chalices love it!!!

Are these Recipes Secret..? :tape:

I believe they are.... Wicked Feastâ„¢ is frozen food and Reef Keef is a powder... My fish seem to like Wicked Feastâ„¢ better... I actually helped name both of them when the creators were looking for names.

Thanks. I mix a little bit of everything with my fish food when I'm refreezing my 4 month thawed preparation and do random feedings as well. I do the recommend amount of fuel or reef energy once a week the day before I water change. I simply try as many new things as possible and rotate too. This seems to work great for me. I also use nutramar ova, original coral smoothie, and so on. One thing I always keep around and use is Dt's Oyster eggs. Pricey but it is worth it. SPS, sea fans, goni's seem to like the stuff. If you are a Chalice Nutt then you need to get fauna marin fine food and you will see your chalice go nuts. Hope you find what you are looking for. Happy Hunting...!
Thats a Good list!! The Red Sea Reef Energy is that something you add all the time or is that a type of food you feed once in a while?

Sounds like a Good routine you got going! I called one of my LFS and surprise surprise they don't have Fauna Marin in stock.. So do you know of a site to get a good deal on it? I see Cherry Corals sells it for 19.99$ that seems like a good price to me.

Cherry Corals all the way. I order from Brett and Todd quite a bit. A lot actually and they are great guys to work with. I've been on both sides of this hobby and know what its like and they are doing it the way it should be done. Its the details. Chris at Reefkoi carries fauna marin too and he has been good to work with as well.
