So far my lyretails will only eat brineshrimp. I've only had them for two weeks. They seem interested in the SA hatchery food but spit it out.

I've always had good luck with PE Mysis, also releasing the food in front of a powerhead helps.

Lyrietails are the easier of the anthias to get onto pellets. I put three 1.5" guys in my tank and they wouldnt really eat the first week or two. I think the clowns, bicolor blenny, and dart fish enticed them to eat because those fish were always running to the feeding spot in the tank when I walked up to it. I fed them mysis for a while to make sure they were healthy in my tank. Once they got aclimated I just stopped and they were kinda forced into eating pellets... I've had them for 8 months now or so and they have survived a move.

My lyretails were finicky in the beginning, but now they eat anything I put in the tank. Try some frozen cyclopeze, mysis, and new life spectrum pellets(small)
