What do you guys/gals think?

That's awesome! You're doing something right for that amount of growth. If you ever frag, keep me in mind:) It's a beautiful acro!

Looks good! Great growth! Some get really happy, like yours, but no matter who you are, there will always be one acro that you can not get to grow fast...I have one in particular...drives me nuts, everything will grow like crazy except one piece...haha, and others are just slow. Oregon torts are super slow for most.

Great growth and you can expect more from this one. All acros are not same as far growth rate concern but definitely your parameters are more than good enough to keep them all in good growing health...:)

Thanks for the encouraging words! As you can see in the lower right hand corner there is a wolverine frag. Which has only encrusted in that time. Looks like one of those slower growing acros in my system

Nice man im trying to grow some sps too,. Can you explain more about your set up?

System is as follows...

Tank: Biocube 29
Lighting: Reef Breeders Superlux running about 80% blues and 40% everything else
Flow: Old Mp-10 while my RW-4 is being replaced
Skimmer: Reef octopus HOB. Not the greatest
Carbon: Bulk Reef Supply Rox
GFO: I don't run any GFO. However if I notice hair algae starting to build up then I run Acural Phophate media pad. It is very inexpensive and I have noticed no negative impacts on my tank.

Params..
Alk- 7-8 (Hanna). I plan on slowly raising this.
Calcium- 440 ppm (Red Sea)
Mag- 1400 (Red Sea)
Salinity- 1.025 refractometer
Havent really checked nitrate or phosphates in some time. I believe They are somewhere around .03 for phosphate and around 10ppm for NO3.

Oh and I am dosing B-ionic with a Jebao Dp-4. I plan on switching to a dosing pump that I don't have to worry about everyday when I get home.

I started dosing as soon as I started purchasing acro's about 5 or 6 months ago, while this current tank has been running for about 1.5 years now. I never dosed previously and was surprised when I realized how easy it actually was. I test about once every two weeks unless I am upping a dose, in which case I will check about twice weekly for two weeks.

Wow. I hope I have that good of luck.

Also, I can't believe you don't have algae problems with those parameters.

Good looking growth. That's just about right in a happy tank. More so impressive that you're doing it in such a small water volume.

I don't see anything wrong with his numbers to cause algae growth.

Why do you "have to worry" about do-4. I recently bought one and it has been great for?

I have heard of many failures using their equipment. I for one just had a Rw-4 quit out on me after 6 months.

Also I had to send in for a new head already on my dp-4. It came from the factory not working

I do have some algae growth but that is more because of me not properly checking frags before I put them in the tank. When I first set up the tank I invited bryopsis "satan" and bubble algae. I have not cleared either from the tank completely. But with such a small tank they are very manageable!
