What do you have your low temperature alarm at?

How cold is too cold? What is so cold it warrants an alarm?

Really depends on your tank. I set my alarm at 2 degrees F below the set/desired temp. My heater is on an inkbird that will alert me for both high and low temps.

I personally put it around 3 degrees below my current temp. I run my tank at 78 and the alarm at 75 so the alarm doesn’t come on every time I do cleaning or maintenance.

My safe range is set between 75.5 and 79. Anything above or below that and I will get an alert.

75 for the alarm low end, 76.0 the backup heater kicks on. 82 for the alarm high end, at 80.0 the canopy fans kick on, 82 the lights turn off.

I have my heater on an inkbird with an alarm for 2 degrees low or 77 degrees. I have that plugged into a neptune power bar that shuts it off at 3 degrees either side of 79. but since i dont want the wear and tear on the neptune, the inkbird does all of the on off switching.

Couple degrees lower than what I normally run. If it triggers that, I know something is wrong

75-81 for me I’m constant at 77.8 though

I don't because the coldest the house gets is generally around 74. So unless it's cold and the heat goes out there's no problem really.
