These little guys made it into my tank on a Monti and to continue the spread quickly. Irritating any coral it comes in contact with.
I tried scrubbing them off with a stainless steel toothbrush to no effect.

Any idea what they are? Or how to get rid of them?

How do you get rid of them. Seem to be stinging anything that come in contact
They do sting and they multiply in a hurry. A blast of boiling water from a syringe works if you don't have too many.

You all are correct
Those are hydroids
The cure is not so easy.
I would recommend to not use a brush for removal.

I had some and I smothered them all with reef epoxy. Never came back that I know of. But it's also a 300 gallon system so there could be some I don't know about somewhere in there.

Good luck eradicating them. I've found that the more particulate food or the more micro algae (alive or dead) that you feed your tank, the more likely they are to spread...

As soon as I started feeding green water, the blew up

The only green water I seen is plankton so I'm guessing it's that
