What do you think about the aquascape?

This is my first reef tank and I would like to make my tank a bit more interesting to look at.

I'm playing with the idea to put a big leather in the open space in the middle (when the tank and water are ready ofcourse)

Any ideas and/or feedback are greatly appreciated

quite empty on the left, but i definitely like the right side. i would place a rock or two on top of that shelf/slate on the left and build up for maybe flowy LPS or SPS. maybe get a branch rock and place it somewhere for SPS?

Just my opinion but I would add a bunch more rock. Also I would get rid of the "ramp" and build something a little more natural looking which will give you more fish hiding places. You might even be able to break up the flat pieces and build a bommie on the right using all of the rock (including the rocks on the left side) without adding anything additional. Regardless, if you like it, that is all that matters

IMO, Google BRSTV NAS (Negative Aqua Space); then you can spend a month smashing and gluing rock together! My wife thinks I am mad but I enjoyed doing it, and I guess that’s what we are all trying to do! Lol

I'm new also, but seen several threads and watched BRS TV video's on aquascaping. Used the "rule of thirds" to design mine. My wife and I sat in the floor of the LFS and pulled out a bunch of rocks and got visuals of what we wanted. We still had to add more after we started building. I would definitely add more to the left to give more structure and hiding places for your fish. We created some pretty cool hiding spots (inadvertently) that works out well for the fish. They can tuck in when they want to hide out but we can still see them.

It’s very empty and you want a lot more rock so there aren’t big empty gaps. The right side should look like that in all spots.
