Did they give specific LED colors? Should be sufficient power, but with a 5g you will have to do bi-daily water changes.

Why would I need to do bidaily water changes
Right now I do 25% a week

30 watt is minimal power not to say it wont work, but if you did a PAR test, it wouldn't be much. Just what can we expect for $62 ?? For a sump, its a winner. . . show tank- Id feel very limited to what specimens would do well under the lighting and low wattage.

Hi. I have 4 of these. They strong enough for 5g. I use my on waterbox 10g look perfect. But u will have disco effect, and don’t think about any sps.

It’s work, i have 4 ,last 2 year now still working Alot of youtuber test on their 10g budget tank for year. I think when we just start reefing we should small and upgrade later.

I used it. It is fine for softies and lps. Also, I would HIGHLY recommend going with something bigger than a 5 gallon. That seems like a nightmare if you are keeping any fish.

I'm using it over a shallow tank for 3 months and seems to be good enough if you place your corals well. The par output is actually better than what I first expected, from what I saw in the video linked below and personal experience. Although I've been using for only a short period of time, I keep easier sps in the center top, moderate light lps in the center middle and lower light lps/softies by the sides.

Hipargero Aqua Knight Led Aquarium Light A029 PAR readings.

I'm switching lights next week, but here are some pics from 2 months ago. Most have grown and encrusted, popping new heads, etc. So I guess some are fine with it.

There are many lights better than this one, like the Prime HD or Kessils, but if you're on a budget for a 5g, it does work.
