Hey guys. This aquarium is by far the best aquarium I have ever had. I had no idea the type of stuff that grows and moves in these tanks. Anyway, got a couple things growing and I can't seem to pin it down. Tank has been running about 3 months now or so.

First is kinda hard to see. I got some white fuzzy looking spots on some of my rock. I don't see any worm tentacles on the pieces it's growing on, so I don't think it's anything worm related, but I have no clue.

Can't seem to get a good pick of this stuff.

Next up is what I think to be some type of red algae? Can you ID? I have about 4 spots or so about nickel sized.

Looks like vertimeid snails and coralline Algea.

Or could be sponges and coralline Algea.

A good cleanup crew will work on the GHA, coraline is good it's the purple stuff that grows all over the tank and hard to scrap off the glass lol. Kinda looks like sponges which are good and bad. Good that they are filter feeders but bad in the way that they can grow and takeover some corals. I had some yellow sponge grow around a zoa frag and prevented it from spreading. But you can just scrap some of it off to prevent this
But otherwise they are good and only suggest that when it comes down to it

Pineapple sponges are a sign of a maturing / healthy tank. They will be everywhere for awhile, then slowly fade out.

I had one growing on my green stars that I pulled off, he was a bigger one though and looked nasty. Kinda wish I would have asked before I did it though to see if I could have moved him.
