What do you think the prettiest wrasse is?

I'm wanting a new pair of really pretty wrasse (reef safe)but there are so many! I just can't decide. So I need your help !

Wow that is a tough one. Hawaiian Flame Wrasse, Scott's fairy wrasse, McCosker's Flasher wrasse, Kuiter's Leopard Wrasse are some of my favorites.

Mystery wrasse is one of my favorites but I wouldn't do it if you want any fairy or flasher wrasses. My mystery wrasse has killed the couple of others I tried to add. They seem to do fine with coris or leopard wrasses though.

Ugh why can't all fish be perfect citizens and live together happily ! I'm having a really hard time making a decision on this! I bought a cheap green wrasse 3 years ago. I have no clue why I did it was just a complete impulse buy. He eats all inverts except for really large turbo snails. I've tried to catch him a dozen times and can't. So needless to say he didn't make the cut for the new tank.

Mystery wrasses can be VERY mean. If you are a wrasse person and looking to wanting to add more at a later date stay away from them. I would offer Hawaiian Flame or Hooded pair. They are pricey but add great flare to the tank. Make sure the top of your tank is covered though!! Thanks Dave

I'm trying to decide between a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse and a Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse right now. Leaning towards the McCoskers myself.

I've been looking at the hooded wrasse as well. This is my tank so jumping won't be an issue.

i'd still add a net. if your canopy is open in the back like mine they'll still find a way through. i thought i was safe but i lost prized pair of Nahacky's Fairy Wrasses that way. i like harems of flasher wrasses, sometimes you can work out a good one with carpenters or hooded fairy wrasses.

Thanks for the advice! I used a staple gun to put mesh material from the fabric store and tape on the bottom part on my tank right now and it has worked pretty well.
