Looks like flukes to me, but I'm no expert by any means. @Humblefish and @melypr1985, we have an issue here.

@Triggreef We've seen this before, my friend (on RC). It's that mystery disease. I'm gonna try & find the thread.

I see. looks like it was eventually treated with antibiotics but the poster never mentioned which antibiotics he used. @Humblefish

I would put him in fresh water for a few minutes, if they are flukes, they will fall right off, if not maybe they are flounders or some other malady. Can't tell from here

Look at you lurking in the disease section.... ;)

That link humblefish posted above looks identical. I may try a fresh dip anyway won't hurt I guess. He probably has flukes anyhow, but normally you don't see them.

If I need the best/widest antibiotic treatment then I use the triple threat Kanaplex, Furan 2 and Metroplex. Just throwing that out there. There are several meds out there that they could have used. When Humble gets back from his weekend, he may know which one they used.

Thanks. I already dosed the metro at the higher dosage on the package. It is the seachem metro. So I can also use kanaplex? Full dose? I have that on hand. I dont have the furan 2 but I do have triple sulfa and meth blue on hand as well.

I wouldn't get antibiotic crazy until I knew what it was. Antibiotics are a double edged sword and hurt as well as they help in the long term.
But you are correct, I should stay out of the disease section because some of my methods would give you the horrors.

@Triggreef He tried all sorts of things in the beginning: Prazipro, formalin, FW dip.

But what seemed to finally knock it out was combining Metroplex, Kanaplex, Furan-2. Of course, it's impossible to say for sure which of the aforementioned meds did it, or possibly whatever it was just ran its course? But personally, I would start off by treating with the triple antibiotics first.

Yes you can run the kanaplex and the metroplex at the same time. Just follow the directions for dosing on each. Your just doing them at the same time. :) Try to get the furan 2 to add to it if the first two dont do the trick.
