I'm going to setup a 10g coral qt all in one day. I will put in 8g fresh saltwater and add some biospira or dr. tims with new matrix in hob filter and coral at the same time. Do you think that will be ok?

Is it because of possible ammonia? Because I have seachem prime and I can do water changes until bacteria grows.

Prime is an alternative- not solution
Like ammo-lock for freshwater, it bonds it and you still want to do water change

I’ve done the same thing a few times. I have some gsp and Kenya trees I put in day one when the salinity and temp is perfect. Than I add fritz zyme 9

Normally I would cycle it the right way but I'm going to have to do this within 2 weeks at the most.

cycle normally or use media from a cycled tank to help seed your new tank.

I have done the same with fish qt. Setup with Dr. Tims for a week then added fish so I'm not sure why this wouldn't be alright
