Filter sock, skimmer, bare bottom, small-1 cup rox carbon reactor, 3 liters eheim substrate pro in mesh bag, on my zero water change system.

I have a 75 gal DT holding about 60 gallons of water with a 55 gal sump holding an additional 30 gallons. 16 gallons of the sump is Refugium with chaeto, live rock, pink fuji sand pods and other detrivores. I have a Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer on the sump. I also do an occasional water change. No socks or floss. no carbon. two weir separation of sections in sump.
this keeps up with: 3 mollies, one damsel, one clownfish, one shrimp, two emerald crabs, multiple hermits, some assorted snails, frozen food , nori, pellets, and reef roids. (insert graphic of me grinning with both fingers crossed)

Just a protein skimmer, filter floss, weekly vibrant per recommended amount and automatic 1 gallon a day water change. I keep a bag of chemipure blue in full time that I change monthly. My tank is bare bottom so I will turn up my power head to help remove build up.

Right now just skimmer and water changes.

I had great success with bio pellets on my last tank, so I'm thinking about starting them back up on the new one.

That’s a really light load for that setup, you could probably triple it and still be fine.

40 gallon remote fuge full of chaeto and a biopellet reactor. If I dial up the flow in the pellet reactor, you can really see the skimmer output increase. I have to choke it back so I don’t completely strip nutrients

Plus on the micro fauna they're super neat ,on topic I use blade calurepa and light feedings to keep my levels low but stable since I am running a mostly softie tank

thanks, in time I will, but when i get more fish will i still be as fascinated by the invert/microfauna? a white starfish sighting is exciting to me.
Oh I agree I like inverts better than fish. Just to contrast here’s what’s in my thriving 70G

Here’s what’s in my tank:
2 frostbite clowns
1 flameback angel
1 fire fish
1 royal gramma
1 scopas tang
2 goby scorpionfish
2 mollies
1 fairy wrasse
1 lawnmower Benny
1 yellow clown goby

1 cleaner shrimp
3 scarlet shrimp
1 emerald crab
1 sally light foot crab
Hermits/snails
Anemones
Tons of LPS/SPS and softies

Skimmer, refugium, and filter floss for a couple days a month. I don't do "regular" water changes but do some small water changes once or twice a month.

I do very minimal water changes too. But I do small ones every 3 months or so. What do you use to replenish trace elements?
No water changes since starup 11 months ago. I do replace skimmer water and adjust salinity with new salt water but thats it.
I use DSR trace elements daily and esv strontium to maintain NSW levels.
Carx for alk and ca only as I run manmade media.
Alk 7-7.5
Ca 450

I voted everything (aka other). You're missing a bunch of options in the poll (skimmer, ATS, sulfur reactor).

Tbh skimmer escaped my mind for some reason and suffer reactors are somewhat uncommon, what’s ats stand for

ATS is an "algae turf scrubber". The ATS and skimmer would be two good options to add to the poll. ATS are becoming popular essentially as a replacement for a refugium that takes up much less space.
