What do you use to feed your Phyto?

I am starting to grow my own Nannochloropsis. What/how do you feed it to be the most nutritious for my rotifers or brine shrimp?

nanno is a single cell organism, it doesn't have a mouth to eat. It is photosythentic, it just needs a bit of light and fertiliser to grow. (use reef safe fertiliser). Just need to make sure you sterilise your equipment before starting your grow, keep your equipment clean, and start with a good clean source of nanno to start your culture.

I'm sorry, I couldn't say, but F2 can be found on Amazon and is relatively inexpensive and a bottle lasts a long time. Some folks use miracle grow, but I am not about to roll the dice with my tank so I stick with what experienced growers use.

I use the same thing. 4 batch in and I barely made a dent in the bottle.

Unfortunately, I now live in Central Europe and these are not available locally. I do see them sold in the UK (the closest). So will buy them there.
