What do you use to hold water for water changes?

I bought two of these from Walmart. with powerheads and a 50W heater i make RODI, transfer,mix salt,transfer 30 gal at a time, that would allow 25% water changes for your tank.

No. They are heavy duty. I use two 30 gallons with taps installed and a notch for wires and hoses.

I'll agree with everyone else, I use the 20something gallon brute. I mix my water by the tank, do 10 gallons changes at a time, once the water is mixing my changes take all of 10 minutes

I use Brute can. I drilled the lid to mount the float switches and to add plumbing for the pumps. The one in the bottom photo is the one for my fresh saltwater. I have a auto water change system but also have a way to dispense into containers as needed.

I use different brute containers. The wheel kit they have is pretty nice.
I also picked up a 65 gallon container from a friend that I use to do water changes on my 240.
It's was originally bought as a rain collection barrel.

I use a 45 gallon Brute that I drilled for a float valve. I don’t have wheels. Instead, since my RODI setup is across the family room and down the hall, I just put the Brute next to the tank and run a long RODI tube to it. When I gravel vac, I just shoot the water out my patio door where it goes down a drain. No buckets involved.

If you don’t need something portable (brute can on wheels), this is what I use. I made a 2x4 stand next to my sump and use this as my salt mixing station. It comes with a bulkhead already installed, so I open a ball valve with a vinyl hose attached, and gravity feed the new salt water into my sump after I have finished my siphon.

Something to consider, if you have the room for it.

Checkout Carlisle at HD. 2 pack 55 gal with lids..$150. Sturdy and food safe. Prices vary by color. Not sure why but the royal blue is the least expensive option.
