What do you use to prevent rusting of hinges?

My reef tank has a canopy and a stand. What do you recommend to prevent rusting of the hinges on the canopy and the stand. My concern is more on the hinges on the canopy since it has the most chance of getting rusted due to water vapor.

I also would like it to be reef safe since water droplets can be formed on the hinges on the canopy and drop back into the water of the tank.

I use graphite lube. Silicone base also good
 
Brass hinges.
Replacing a rusting hinge before it becomes a problem is a preventive measure.
