I have only had these anthias a few days and today was the first day I've been home all day. They are out always during blues and ambient sunlight before the lights come on. They all eat anything offered and all look great. Now that it's mid day on my light schedule they are back in the rocks and will come out and swim around every few minutes. Sometimes just one or sometimes all of them but they keep going back to hide.

I bought them as tricolor anthias but believe they are red belted. Are these a type that would have preferred lower light or is this normal?

Here is a video of the tank today right after it turned full daylight.

Tricolor and red-belted anthias are very closely related, and their behavior and activity is near identical.

They are a medium depth anthias, so are used to 'dimmer' conditions, but I have found they acclimate to bright lighting pretty quickly.

They are both pretty hardy species.
