40ml of alk and ca (Randy's recipe) about every other day. Kent tech M mag once a month. one drop of Lugols everyday. coralamino once a week. that's about it...

BRS two part and vinegar on a doser, kalk in topoff, diluted mag on a slow drip, and a few drops of these when I remember: iodine, mb7, aminos.

Is there a reason why you dose 40ml every other day as opposed to 20ml everdyday? Wouldnt everyday dosing provide more stability? Just curious.

Brs two part / brs mag / 20 ml everyday. Lugols iodine every 2 days 3 drops.

You dose based on demand. If regular testing shows you are deficient in something then you set a dosing schedule to replenish only that element that is in demand otherwise you get your system out of balance. If regular water changes with a good salt mix maintain the levels you desire then dosing is not needed nor recommended. Good test kits like Salifert or Elos will tell the whole story. If you are not testing for something on a regular basis and knoe for a fact it is needed then never ever put it in your tank. Thats as simple as it can be put.

That being said, I have a calcium reactor on my 100G and use the BRS 3 part recipe for my 16G nano.

^ +1; Don't dose simply for the sake of dosing. Trace elements like iodine are only present in certain forms and minute amounts in the natural environment and are easily overdosed on a regular dosing schedule. Nothing should ever be added that is not tested for.

eco system three part balling method calcium. ( depending on my levels) it raises my alkalinity and calcium at the same rate . I use aquavitro balance to regulate the levels and to further make sure that my alkalinity and calcium are in the same range. The three part calcium system also replaces all trace elements. i run that with neo-marine salt for trace element replenishment at time of water change once a week.

Seachem reef builder 1tbs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Seachem reef advantage calcium 1tbs Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Aquavitro ions once a week (first part), 1 tbs
Seachem reef advantage magnesium once a week (second part) 1 tbs
Aquavitro fuel twice a week 1tbs

All powders are predissolved in top-off water and dripped in slowly over multiple hours.

Aquabull, do you have kits for all the ingredients in those additives? Personally I feel you are on track for a disaster one day and its going to be ugly. Unless you can and do test for it you have no idea what the levels are and what its doing to your system. One day some of that snake oil will reach saturation point and there is no turning back. Just my opinion but based on close to 30 years of reef keeping.

.4ml vodka daily, aquavitro fuel 7ml every other day. I am going to try vitamin c dosing next week to see if it can boost color..

I like to dose reef trace and amino acids. Also like to feed a lot....I guess thats a type of dosing too.

AZDesertRat, thank you for your justified and appreciated concern. Yessir! i do test multiple times a week. As well have been fairly stable, successful, and consistant since 1989, when my journey began. Your concerns do not fall on deaf ears. Thank you.

actually just started dosing every other day. I used to just dose once a week. wasn't sure on how much to dose because my alk and ca has been fairly stable but I just wanted to bring it up a tad. I use NSW so it's kinda hard to tell.

I drip Kalk 24/7. I use brightwell Kalk+2 and it does a good job at keeping my calcium, magnesium and alk where they need to be.
Does anyone here use a doser? They seem like another easy and reliable way to keep levels precise and stable. I'd like to hear some feedback.

I topoff with BW Kalk+2 in reactor
BW Reefcode a&b everyday
BW lugols everyday
BW replenish everyday
BW vitc w/food
BW amino omega w/food
BW angel soak w/food
Water change every 2 weeks with Seachem Salinity
BRS ROX carbon change every 2 weeks in reactor
Rowaphos change every month in reactor
