What does everyone feed their anemones??

My bta tricolor gets ugly tents. No bubble nor noodles. It's like a mix but think it's it's location. I isolate it so it can't crawl. But this morning it had bubbles. So it's sooo confusing. Is there a way u get urs 2 split like crazy as I see like 6 babys around urs. And had mine for 4 months and just growth no splitting.
I feed on a consistent schedule and my light are at 100℅ power Chinese 185w full spectrum

Depends on there mood I guess I don't do anything particular they can go from bubble tip to really long tentacle to a big flat anemone in 1h my rose by just split once the day I got her the guy I got it from gave it to me in ice cold water and the never split again but they grow like crazy the green one split every time they get to around 2inch they never move and prefer the middle of the tank where the led are not as powerfull and where the 2 power head flow meet

I feed our green carpet anemone two or three pieces of decent sized krill every other day or so and what ever else his friend brings him. He has grown probably 2" since we got about 2 months ago. We actually got him and a hosting Clarkii at Petco of all places. He was just delivered the day before and they had matched up already. I told the wife if we wanted to increase our chance of survival we would have to get both fish and anemone. So we took a chance and got the pair. The Clarkii is very territorial over his anemone and will run off the Lawnmower Blenny "BoB" if he gets to close. I will occasionally soak the krill pieces in SeaChem Reef Plus for about a half hr. I do this as I came across an OLLLDD article about soaking anemone food prior to feeding. So far it seems to work.

The only thing that I sometimes worry about is the fact that the Clarkii darn near swims into the mouth!!! Almost like he is massaging the Anemone. His tentacles are short i would say about 1/4" or so. He has great color under our T5 lamps.

Happy Reefing!

bTAs change always depended on if there hungry and need 2 stretch out, flow, and lighting. I have 2 tri color and specalled indo green that noddles and the tri bounces around. But went through a good 5 months of ugly and I mean I didn't even like looking at it ugly. But now it moved under a rock and is bubbled. The litterally do what they want. And u just have 2 love em

Yes a piece of shrimp but I mash mine up with my fingers just smoosh it so he nem has less work 2 do 2 digest it. Otherwise it'll spit it out a few hours later. I've witnessed a whole silverside that my sebea spit out I thought it was litterally dying and it's stomach was pouring out as the fish was well coated and kinda digested.

No silversides?..*smh*....I was wondering why my two bubbletips and carpet keep rejecting it. Thanks for the info raw shrimp and krill only. Thanks fellow anemone keepers.

Mine take silversides whenever it's offed to them......also mysis

The nems at my store get a rotation of thawed brine shrimp, blood worms, and mysis shrimp, and freeze-dried (rehydrated) krill chunks. They all seem to have favorites, sometimes within the same species. Thawed items are offered with a syringe.

We had one condy that would not eat the same thing, two feedings in a row. He'd just release them. Brat.

I now feed mine daily with New Life Spectrum Marine Fish Formula. The pellets sink quickly if you throw them at the water surface with the pumps off. On top of that I also feed them PE Mysis once a week.
