Idk if you can tell but he does have a few specks of white spots on him as well as his fins not doing well, my clownfish recently died of Brooklynella. Is he giving it to my firefish, and yes my firefish is the only fish in the aquarium

Weird- it’s fins look chewed up, could the clownfish have done this before it died? If not, then that is bacterial fin rot. The spots could be the start of a case of ich. Is the fish still eating well? Do you have a treatment tank you could move it to?
Welcome to Reef2Reef by the way!

The fish is still eating really well and acts healthy, my clownfish died yesterday morning, but his fins look worse today than they did yesterday so I don’t think it can be the clownfish, I’d also love to be able to put him in quarantine but I don’t have a second heater so his water would be room temp

I would hesitate advising you to treat with antibiotics in your main tank, as that can put your other animals at risk. Treating at room temp is not a good idea.

Looks to me more like aggression than condition. How did clown look before death ?
No other occupants in the tank? Any worms in the substrate you’re unaware of?

I think antibiotics will kill the good bacteria as well.

The clown couldn’t breathe out of his gills he was covered in the mucus and I know it’s not aggression, I’ve seen my Pep shrimp trying to eat the parasites off him maybe he accidentally ripping his fins off too, as for worms, I have no idea, i mean at night my firefish sleeps literally on the subrate so it could be

Clown with mucus describes brooklynella which is a typical clown disease. Freshwater dip helps and formalin based medications treats brook
