I love to invent and build new things. So why not combine my two favorite things, inventing and reef tanks? give me some ideas of things you would like to see in this hobby, and maybe I could make it! I know one thing I would like, a seaweed clip that doesn't rip the seaweed in half. haha!

More on....

A Roomba that cleans BOTH the dry side and the wet side of the glass!!!!!

Now you could sell it for $199.99 and ppl would buy it.

Must be automatic and clean in a full pattern and be dockable with rechargeable batteries on the dryside. Linkable to Apex Fusion.

Theres your Multimillion dollar idea....

Large scale Roomba's that clean public aquariums... you could name your price in the tens of thousands of dollars and they'd be lined up to buy it bc they have to hire divers to clean the inside of the glass

Call it....wait for it...

SCUUMBA

I get 10% for the idea

Better get a US Patent before some conglomerate like RedSea, Hanna Instruments or CoralVue with big deep pockets steals my idea

Build a submersible Roomba automatic glass cleaner and sell it for $75 and you'll be an instant millionaire

Cant be over $100 or no one would buy it

I had my mom over for dinner today and she saw my Mag Float and thought it meant no more scraping glass. I had fish when I was a kid and she remembered scraping glass, I guess she mixed it up with my Roomba!

What was for dinner?
Well, actually we met a roofer for a quote on her cabin before dinner; then she bailed on dinner. Maybe if I get a robot glass cleaner I'll be interesting enough for her to stay!

The plan was carbonara, I didn't want to have prep while the roofer was here. Carbonara goes together quick and is one of my favorites.

I wonder if there is any way to make an auto feeder for frozen food that does not require thawing and refreezing into a popsicle.

I have seen some cool DIY for auto feeding refrigerated foods.

Basically anything that means one can be lazy and still keep things stable should be good. That is behind the massive trends in controllers, auto cleaning of skimmers, roller mats, auto water changes, automatic testers, and dosing.

If frozen food came in a standardised blister pack it would be easy to pull the foil lid off, put it in a chilled container then using a solenoid pop out as many as you need. Would require an x/y movement. Could easily be configured to count how many have been popped out and remaining count.

Better yet, make it round so it doesn't tend to "walk" away as much.

Maybe even put the electrical motor in the dry side so all you have to do is push on it to make it spin.
