Maybe this video will load. Day 3 of the tang not eating. The lump is looking a little worse. Any recommendations on what I can treat the tank with?

Nope. No video just audio playing.

Do you have any antibiotics on hand?

Do the patches on your tang look kinda like the patches on the yellow tang in this picture below?

For treating tangs/butterflies with bacterial infections, NFG powder is the best. It can be a bit tough to source. Usually online only.

The trifecta of Furan2 + Kanaplex + Metro treats a very wide spectrum of bacterial, both internal and external, infections in the QT.

If you prefer to treat in a bath instead of the QT, Ciprofloxacin is excellent.

humblefish is no longer on reef2reef, FYI. He said so publically on his own forum
Thank you for the heads up

No it’s almost like it’s becoming a hole. Getting eaten away.

Can I dose Furan2 + Kanaplex + Metro directly to the qt tank?

How about like this?

HLLE – Head and Lateral Line Erosion

This usually starts out on the face, but not always. It will appear as the skin pealing from the face or eroding away. Holes (small or large) will appear on the face, head and along the lateral line of the fish. Good nutrition, clean water and low stress can help stop the erosion and sometimes heal it over some.

That would be my guess too. Did you order this fish? You said you received it which makes me think you ordered it online.

And what kind of tang is it specifically. Definitely some type of zebrasoma

It’s a 5” scopas tang that I received from a online vendor

@Big G the more i look at HLLE the more I think it could be that. Would dosing the 3 antibiotics help with this?

I would definitely add Beta Glucan and Zoecon to the food mix for awhile. Antibiotics won't help with HLLE. All they do is fend off bacterial and viruses until the fish's immune system heals itself. Great quality and varied foods + vitamins ;)

So the fish started eating. The growth on his forehead seems to have gotten larger. I was Going to start raising the copper levels from 1.15 to 2.0 over the next 5 days but should I dose metro, kana, furan 2 before I raise the levels? HOw do you think I should proceed

Much better pics. Is the texture cottony, fibrous or cauliflower like?

yea he would hide all day until today now he's eating out
if i had to guess like cauliflower
Large growths like that can be lympho (cauliflower texture), tumors can be bulbous, lumpy-ish. But I'm thinking lympho. Google pics of lympho, they can get crazy big, spread out, etc.
