Evening, all

Just curious as to what everyone has in the CUC. At present I have
  • Pep shrimp
  • Conch snail
  • Blackfoot Trochus (latest addition)
Wife really wants a star fish however I fear tanks too small!

Aquarist is the most important part of CUC. Sea star not so much.

How big is your tank?
If not a classic star, brittle or serpent stars are pretty low maintenance and do well in small tanks.

My CUC for my 40B is:
8-12 Hermits
3 Trochus snails
4 Nerites
5-20 nassarius
1 tiger conch
Dozens of Ceriths and zig-zag periwinkles
2 emeralds
1 tiger pistol shrimp
And can’t forget about the amphipods, brittle star, mysis, copepods, feather dusters, and all the other hitchhikers.

I've read about the Brittle and Serpants. Could be a winner, Im on a 50L Fluval. Have two clowns in addition to the above so I know I dont have much wiggle room.

Impressive list :). I saw a tiger the other day! Learnt how they pair with a fish for protection. Very nice

My 180 gallon consists of these guys. But to be fair, my reef cleaners order containing 90% of them arrives today.
90 Dwarf Ceriths
29 Nassarius vibex
43 Florida Ceriths
4 Tiger Conchs
40 Astraeas
3 big turbos
2 serpent stars
5-8 hermits
1 urchin

Very nice! How bigs the Urchin?

It’s 2 years old and a little bigger than the size of a golf ball. It’s in the upper left on the gyre

CUC=

2 hands
tooth brush
turkey bast
power filter
And I still have hundreds if not thousands of $ still in my pocket

I had some sort of sea star in my 20gallon long, had plenty of amphipods and he just hid under a rock all day. Now he’s in a 75 with way more space that he knows what to do with!

cuc:
Emerald crab
Thin stripe hermit (Huuuuge)
Sea star/brittle star(not certain which one it is)
Trochus snail
Mini snail (hitchhiker)
Amphipods

I just use a hand full of snails in my 25g tank. I used to use hermits but they are little crazy things and eat the snails and corals.

Just received a ReefCleaners order today; three or four different ceriths, including a couple of gnarly "knobby creepers", lightning dove snails, marginella snails, dwarf and regular trochus, a couple of varieties of nassarius, three different conchs (the fighting conchs will probably prove too large for my 220 - lotsa rocks), more hermits than I can shake a stick at, bumblebee snails, mithrax and pitho crabs. (Pithos are _much_ bigger than their pic on the site makes them look - but their claws are pretty tiny.) Brittle stars and bristle worms.

Also, tangs.

Front glass is on me, though.

In my 90

Foxface
Scopas Tang
One massive turbo snail
Few astrea snails
Handful of conchs I think 4
6-8 nassarius snails.

In my IM15
3 conchs (they seem to come back to life)
1- astrea
1- trochus
1- Urchin
1-hermit

Reef cleaners are great. I get one of the cuc packages and it covers all the bases.
