I have sponges taking over rocks in my display. What fish or invert will eat these and help control them?

Some angels will eat sponges sometimes. There's a bunch of nudibranch species as well but we don't know which ones eat which sponges and we don't know what sponge that is. Possibly nothing we can keep will eat that.

I remember when I started out I had a crazy outbreak of sponges. I didn’t know what it was so I just slapped epoxy over all of them…. It was hideous.

You can try to starve many sponges out by severely limiting silicates in the water. There are mechanical/chemical filtration materials that do this (they also reduce diatoms).
