What elements are stripped by carbon

Are the trace elements I so carefully dose removed by my GAC. Which ones are susceptible to this stripping? Does it matter what type of carbon I use? Should I avoid its use or use it intermittently rather than 24/7?

None appreciably bind directly to GAC from seawater, but GAC binds organics, and many metals are partly or mostly bound by organics. I’d just treat it as one of many different ways that trace elements may be depleted over time.
