Two year old, 20 gallon AIO with heater and skimmer, FOWLR with macro algae.
Clown, clown goby, firefish, 4 sexy shrimp, hermits and Astria and Nassarius snails.
Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate are all 0 PH 8.2 Since I don't have coral, that is all I check for.
I use Reef Crystals... the macros do better with it.
My Clown Goby decided the new mushrooms were hers but got a fungus look that I thought was from getting stung. I moved the mushrooms and gave the tank a dose of Pimafix and she got better.
Got a new Clown and my two year old female instantly bonded. They both started hosting in the mushrooms... and also got the white fungus look. I took the mushrooms out of the tank.
The female's tail looked like it was starting to rot so I treated with the Pimafix and Melafix. The female was looking better but the male started looking sick... hiding and not eating so someone suggested I treat with General Cure while I waited for the EM I ordered to come. I lost the male...
The tail was starting to heal with the Pimafix and Melafix but after treating with the EM the tail healed. The fungus look was still there on both the clown and but more on the clown goby.
I gave them a freshwater bath with a little General Cure in it and it cleared up the Clown. 48 hours later I gave the Goby another freshwater bath. Finally I tried one more course of Pimafix and Melafix.
She is definitely looking better, she is active, eating well without a problem. I'm wondering if she lost her slime coat.
By the way, the firefish that never went into the mushrooms has looked great this whole time.
(please ignore the fake anemone...and if you look, you will see the top of the goby in it...yep, hers)
What do you think? Should I do anything else?
