What else does cuprisorb remove?

I had 7 ug/l via Triton but have no systems. I have some cuprisorb I could run but I'm not sure what else it could remove that may be beneficial. I also know that some copper is good so I dont know if stripping to zero (if cuprisorb can even do that) could have any negative effects. I do have the hanna copper checker but I think it's high range so not sure it can even do ppb.

I think it also removes Fe. This is based on my experience, and is anecdotal as a result. In my last tank, I had a mild case of dinos. I noticed that if I used some cuprisorb, the dinos would disappear, and if I dosed iron, they would reappear. So based on this experience, I concluded that iron can be a limiting element for dinos, and that cuprisorb appeared to be able to affect the iron level. Totally anecdotal as I indicated. Randy may come along say cuprisorb cannot affect iron levels. YMMV

Very interesting.......my iron has been zero for about 6 months so not a factor for me as I dont think my tank needs it for anything. Thanks for posting.

I am pretty sure it must absorb several different metals and probably only excess amounts. I think that we only need traces of any of them in our tanks which cuprisorb cant touch so it shouldnt cause issues, but I'm just trying to get confirmation.

It typically will be undetectable. ICP cannot detect low enough for iron.

We really have no idea what trace element levels of which different forms are needed for organisms.

i'd suggest it is OK to use the cuprisorb.

Certainly. Like all metal binding agents it will have affinity to varying degree to most transition metals. The most likely of those to be important in a reef include:

Vanadium
Chromium
Manganese
Iron
Cobalt
Nickel
Copper
Zinc
