Heaters, some powerheads (depending on brand) and test kits

Anything that is techy and has a controller. I will buy used heaters if they are like $5-10... they all break anyway, so when cheap enough, then no problem.

On the converse, here is stuff that I will aways buy used.... MH ballasts and fixtures, Tunze Stuff, [Mag Drive, Fluval, Ehiem, Sicce, Laguna] pumps, Ranco or Medusa controllers, chillers, most calcium reactors and co2 regulators.

I put lighting. Being in phoenix I don't even use heaters on most of my tanks. I find that all lighting has a fixed life span and often used lights are already quite old. Most LED lights last 5-7 years at the most so when I see a 4-5 year used light I only plan on getting a year or two out of it and for me it just isn't worth it. Same thing for t5s and halides. The ballasts last 5-7 years from my experience and if the light is already about that old I would rather just buy new with new ballasts and bulbs.

The only exceptions I have made is when all I really want is the fixture. Geisemann fixtures are just so sexy looking and I will buy them even if I have to replace all the bulbs ballasts and end caps.
