What ever happened to Anthony Calfo?

Years ago I enjoyed his answers and articles at Wet Web Media, I have his book of coral propagation, and enjoyed his invert book written with Bob Fenner which is an awesome refugium reference. Is he still active in the hobby? Does he still produce material?

I was thinking the same thing a few months back. His books are a great source of knowledge.

Omg, I just read through his entire GoFund me story, and I feel so bad for him.

I realize this post is like 20 years old, but Anthony did not coin that phrase. I first heard it from an ecology professor in the 90s, and I’m sure it was around for decades before that.

Oh wow, I met Anthony when I first got into the hobby since he was in the Pgh, PA area where I live. He was a very nice, engaging young man and I am so sorry to read of all the tragic circumstances in his life. I feel very bad for what he has gone through since he was kind and encouraging to me when I was a newbie.
