Other then the normal alk cal and mag what's everyone putting in there tank?

Strontium
Potassium
iodine
Anything like this and maybe why and if you think it helps

I'll be that guy.... You should buy test kits for whatever elements you want to monitor and then adjust accordingly to the results of your test kits. Blind dosing can end up badly.

Well that guy good answer :/
This is not my first go at a tank don't let the 72 post fool you
I understand about testing I'm asking to see what everyone else is putting in here tank
That's it
And do you really test for
Strontium
Potassium
Iodine

Ok maybe I should word it different
What additives is everyone putting I to there tank if any
Korallen
Zeo food
Korallen coral food
Stuff like that

I would think it depends on what you have in your tank. I have mostly softies and a couple of lps. I don't dose anything. fourteen months and everything is fine.

Yes
I am also on Njrc a local club and this was one of the responses

AcroPower, Coral snow, coral vitalizer, zeozym.... Coral snow because it helps with water clarity and helps transport all the other supplements throughout the tank. And I dose acropower for amino's and coral vitalizer for food source because I run ULNS. Zeozyme is dosed to help break down slime algae. Anyone who carbon doses could run into issues with cyano so I feel a weekly dose helps to keep it in check. I run it more as a preventative maintenance dose.

RO/DI, a good salt mix, BRS two part magnesium mix and a calcium reactor. Other than that I leave all the snake oils on the shelf at the LFS where they belong.

Aside from calcium and alkalinity via limewater, and magnesium via a boost to my IO salt mix that I use for water changes, I dose:

1. Silicate for sponges, diatoms, and snails
2. Iron for macroalgae.

Randy do you believe that any of the so called "snake oils" work
The Red Sea reef energy looks good and from what I understand works

Do you add mag to your salt as you mix fresh seawater for a water change?

Yes. I never measure magnesium in the new salt or in the aquarium.

I just boost the IO that I mix up with about 100-150 ppm magnesium, and use that for my 1% daily water changes. :)

I'd classify that more as a food, but I do think that amino acid supplements have uses in many reef aquaria, especially those that are ULNS aquaria where the zoox in corals may not be producing enough nutrition for the coral.

I don't keep a ULNS aquarium, so I do not use such additives, but I do not discount their utility. :)

In addition to CA, ALK, and MG, I like to dose the Brightwell Aquatics Coral Amino. I also add kent essential elements on occasion. I would not say there is a noticeable affect if I do add it or if I don't. I have great polyp extension and healthy growth, so if it's working, than I'm happy. I rarely add iodine except in instances of propagation. The strontium and molybdenum is one of those things found in a lot of synthetic salt mixes. I don't know/never have tested for either, but my WC are my replenishment for those. Miracle mud is supposed to be a good source as well.

I don't dose anything special but I notice better growth when corals are fed either indirectly by extra fish feedings/poo or with water column delivered foods.

Vodka, acropower. And I feed lots and lots. I mix ocean nutrition instant baby brine shrimp, oyster feast and docs egg brew. I also feed coral frenzy and the smallest golden pearls along with some phyto every so often.
