what exactly is this clove? good or bad?

A friend set up 75g few months ago, now we noticed this thing, no idea how it got here. I think its a clove polyp of some kind...can u tell me what exactly it is? Is it good or bad?
Any pointer would be much appreciated.

Looks like GSP of some sort, especially the way its matting.

One of many species of octocorals (eight tentacle) which include GSP and cloves as well. Can with right conditions overcome a tank but other than that, if you like it keep it.

I am sure it's not gsp, clove polyps is more likely. I seen some local tank infested with that stuff and don't know exactly what kind but it almost take out a whole 29g zoa dominant.
I did a little research, some of em r aggressive. They can stink other pieces to take space, that brings to my attention to help a buddy out for making right decision

If u look closely in 2nd pic, each finger looks kindda hairy, and I can't find any thing that is identically ...

Whatever it is, I think brown star polyp. If you don't like/want it get it outta there fast. I let something that looks very similar get out of control and months later I'm still trying to eradicate. It also killed off a bunch of my coral. A Duncan being my most treasured.

The star polyp in the front goes by pink star polyp, the stalks have a pinkish hue. The background is GSP. There is another thinner tentacled brown SP which is all over the caribbean including here in Miami, this is the least popular one brownish color. The way you differentiate between clove and SP is cloves are usually larger and stiffer tentacled, they don't sway as much in the current. Also SP spreads as an encrusting mat. Cloves spread through thin root like structures.
