What filter do you use for your QT tank?

I'm torn between sponge and HOB filter for my 5.5gal QT tank. I already have a sponge filter, but not sure if I should use it or buy a HOB for just $20. The one I'm considering is Marina filter.

I have a 20 gallon long frag tank and used an HOB for a while but got tired of cleaning it.
Now use a powerhead and discharge it to a sock...all inside the tank.
