Maybe discussed earlier, but it’s a fun conversation...

What order do you set up your tank? And Why?

Sand/Rocks/Water. (Almost said fish... although I would be impressed by anyone who started with Fish)

Stand -> Tank ->Sump->Powerheads -> Pump->Skimmer-> Plumbing->Lights->Rock->Sand->Salt->Water-> Fill it up and let it cycle

How do you do Salt before water? Or am I reading too much into that?

Lol, reading to much into it. I should have said Salt->RO/DI Unit. I meant I buy my box of salt mix i'm going to use, and then my RO/DI unit to make the water

I guess the debate is in setting Rock on Glass vs Sand. Or putting water on top of rock, or setting the rock into the water or water over the rock.

I’ve actually seen sand added after water via a pressurized hose and sand “slurry”

That is the way I would do it. If I ever used sand.
