What Fish Can Survive On Just Flakes & Pellets?

I am setting up a tank in my school and during the summer I will only be there every 2 weeks or so to do a water change. What fish can survive on just flakes and pellets for 3 months? I would like to have a shrimp goby pair in the tank but I am afraid that they wouldn't get any of the food from an automatic feeder. Are there any feeders that can feed frozen foods?

I'm not sure I'd trust anything with frozen food because it would have to sit outside in an auto feeder. I have a firefish, clownfish, sand sifting goby, watchman goby, and a lawn mower blenny that eat pellets just fine. They love them. Tangs not so much but I'm guessing you don't have a tank large enough at school for that.

We are just setting up a 20 gallon so I am limited to about 3 fish. I am just worried that the flakes/pellets won't get to some of the fish. You can target feed your gobies but the feeder won't be able to. I really want a shrimp goby pair for the tank but I am afraid the pellets/flakes won't get to them and they will starve.

I have noticed my goby doesn't get some of the pellets on days but then the next day when I start feeding he comes flying to the front of the pack to make sure he gets food. I was worried about it at first too and I think I overfed them and caused an algae issue. If you have the feeder do two small feeding a day he should get some. Just make sure to have some hermit crabs to eat what the goby doesn't get.

I would think a lot of them could plus you could also drop in some fresh foods when you stop in.

As for Shrimp and Gobies not getting food from the autofeeder Mine sure do.
When the food dispenses they go after it just like the rest of the fish.

Do you think even something like a yashi goby would come out to get food?

Once it sinks enough, yes.
I recommend the New Life Spectrum brand. Lots of good stuff in it and all my fish are happy to eat it. For your needs, small or baby would be good.
If you want to give them pellets or flake (I don't recommend flake because they dissolve too fast and pollute your water), you will need to train them to it while you're home. It's not natural to a fish from the ocean, so it may take some time. Mine have all acquired a taste for the New Life Spectrum pellets pretty quickly (one tang I had gobbled them the first night he was here) but depending on the temperament and species of fish it may take longer.
