What fish can you actually keep with these monsters?

So, my female clown caused my lawnmower blenny to starve to death. She killed my yellow tailed demoisale back before she gained any real size, in my 40 breeder. She also killed a pj cardinal( though I didn’t have any good hides for it at the time) and three mollys. The blenny was fine for awhile. Then come November I noticed the female clown would go up by the blenny as she rasped off the glass, thinking she was over with her grazing as well. Then the blenny stopped coming out. Once I actually confirmed the clown was attacking her, and she was starving it was too late. It took me catching the blenny in the barnacle to be able to move her. She died the next day. I’ve been told clowns will stay close to their spot, they aren’t active swimmers ect and they are also ground foragers. My pair are not. They are all over the tank. Footprint is 24x24. The clown also has been seen grabbing the male by his fins and dragging him back to rush me for food. This same clown has exuberantly launched herself out the top for food. Twice. Once she was found on the floor. Second time(the other day) she landed on top of the lights. This fish is nuts! These are ocelleris clowns. Hardly up there with maroons. So what in the name of all that’s good and holy can I put with this little demon? I wanted a school of bangaii cardinals and/or a fairy wrasse and a goby to go with my pistol shrimp. I’m not so sure now. Here’s some photos of the tank, the brat, and how she was doing the blenny before I realized like a dummy that she was being mean. Lots of pics I know. But I wanted to show that they most certainly do not stay near any of the rocks or the bottom. They are all over. The do sleep in the barnacle.

A 24*24 is not that big of a space. you could try another damsel.

It sounds like she is the devil. I would rehome her. Otherwise you may want to put in a tougher fish with her like a six line wrasse or dotty back. But will probably be world war three.

I have no problems except with smaller fish which means they leave my wrasse and goby alone but recently they attack my chromis luckily the chromis are too fast but occasionally they get a bite in as the chromis grow I should avoid the problem...get a neon dottyback and watch the clowns cower...dont do that but yes try something mean.

Rehome the female , have a Male and female since 2010 never had a problem with either killing my other fish ,have gobies, blennys, firefish just to name a few fish that are in the tank . Or I just got lucky with my pair

See that’s what I was told they would be like. Caution with damsels, ok with most other fish. This female is the devil. And I fear rehoming her and keeping him, and him going female and turning out like her. :/

I have a 6 line and a Fiji blue devil damsel in my tank, everyone is equally fierce and no one messes with anyone else. But my clowns also do NOT exhibit any of the behavior you described, and I only have a 28g.

Although you appear to have an overly aggressive female, that is not the norm so IMO I don't think you should expect future clowns to act like that (some aggression is expected, but not that much). I know it can be a tough decision - good luck with whatever you decide!

So a six line would be ok? Ugh I wanted a fairy wrasse cause the colors but if a six line will put them in their place... what about an anemone? Think she will chill if she had one? Since she’s all over the tank now perhaps a home to call her very own will stop her?

She just claimed the tank nothing is going to work imo without a drastic change. My female percula had everyone beat down in a temporary 40b. She'll still get froggy every once in awhile but my angel straightens her out.

I was amazed at the aggression in the 40b from her though.

It is hard to rehome your fish like pets had a blue morph had to rehome after 5 years ate over $300 of zoas never bother them before . Same with my CBB had multiple years started eating my CC Neptune's Crown acan

I had a pair of clowns a while ago in my 29g. The female was a nightmare for me too that she brutally destroyed my firefish after being with the clowns for over a month then suddenly she hated it. She also wouldn’t let my royal gramma swim around the tank, eventually it got stressed out and died .Then, I got really fed up and rehomed the pair away and got another pair, so far they are so much better than my old pair! (They are all ocellaris clowns btw)

My clown is the most timid fish in the tank. I have never seen any aggression at all. But he is the smallest fish in there.

When i started restocking first fish was a yellow tail angel, I wouldn’t say damsel level aggression but not too far off. has never touched a coral, eats algae but thinks its a Rottweiler in the body of a gerbil. One of the smallest angels.
