What fish/invert "makes" your tank and why

My flame angel and coral beauty were my last additions.

And while the CB is my favorite, the flame is a close second and REALLY pops.

My fuzzy dwarf lion makes it! It adds an element of risk and danger to an otherwise placid and peaceful reef. I keep him with chromis, even though I probably shouldn’t, because it’s a big tank (180 display) and because I want to emulate Mother Nature, which is full of risks. The only thing I dislike is that the fuzzy dwarf (and my niger) pose a big risk for inverts. I don’t have a cleaner shrimp for this exact reason.

That sounds awesome! I have heard they can almost act "doglike" after awhile following their owners and reacting to their presence

Potters is among my favorite of the dwarf angels - generally mild mannered and mostly ignores corals. An obsessive grazer so plenty of live rock is important. A tricky fish to acclimate though.

For me it's my pair of clownfish but to be fair I'm pretty new to saltwater and got into it because I wanted clowns so bad [emoji14]
The only other fish in my tank is a yellow watchman goby and I love watching him just as much.

What a gorgeous fish! Also I LOVED your video. We have similar taste in fish. I was hoping to add a leopard and a blue star next to my tank, so I really appreciated your tips. My lfs has them all the time (oftentimes for a couple weeks)

Thanks, you definitely want to pick the right fish with a Leopard Wrasse. I've had mine over 4 months now and it is a voracious eater.

Virtually none as I don't have much of a pod population at this point. I see it occasionally peck at the rocks, but I don't know if it's just exploring or if it's actually getting something to eat. That's why I focus more on the feeding. I do two small feedings of Reef Frenzy per day plus a small seaweed feeding to ensure that all my fish are well fed regardless.

I love my two spot yellow hogfish, ads lots of color and movement. For an invert I would suggest some form of clam, maxima maybe. But find a rare one that floureces.

Not a spectacular fish, but definitely the hardest worker in the tank. Pink spot goby. Keeps sand bed turned over and prevents excessive nutrient build-up.
And no tank is complete without a Blonde Naso.

My blue spotted jawfish and my mandarins. Mandarins are just calming. Jawfish makes me laugh when it tries to intimidate other fish.

Those fish are unbelievably beautiful. I haven't heard much about the long term health of a parrotfish in a reef setting. Do the Quoy's thrive? Also selfish question how do you feel about a blue throat trigger in a medium stocked mixed reef 120g? I see you all over the place on the forum, and you SEEM to know what you're talking about
