Some info about my tank
90 Gallon + 40 gallon sump
SPS+LPS+Zoa's+BTA's
Current Fish List:
Powder Brown Tang
Flame Hawkfish
Pair of black and white clowns
Coral Beauty
Melanurus Wrasse

The PBT is a bit of a jerk. When I added the wrasse he went after him pretty hard so I'm expecting I might have to remove the Tang and re-introduce him, not a big deal. Thoughts on what else to add?

Could always add a couple of fairy/flasher wrasses... or a group of one of the more peaceful (with each other) anthias species like dispars or ignitus. An assessor or basslet of some sort might be cool, or an orchid dottyback. Or a group of one of the more peaceful damsel species like talbot's. A group of Scissortail dartfish would be cool too... lots of options, I think :)

Yea flasher/fairy wrasse have been at the top of my list. Anthias I considered but I keep reading that they will eventually kill each other, the small groups of 2-3 don't work well. Not sure how true that is but I've read it multiple times. Dottybacks I've always avoided because I've heard pseudochromis are a nightmare and tend to bully. Not sure if they would cause problems for my existing fish. Dartfish I hadn't considered but will have to look at them.

An Orchid wouldn't be any trouble in that tank. I wouldn't do any other Dottyback though.

The choices I've listed are pretty specific, for example I definitely wouldn't try lyretail anthias in a small group, in a smaller tank- but a group of say 5-ish dispars would probably get along OK. Orchid dottyback yes, any other dottyback I would say definitely not. Same with the damsels, there are a few timid species and many very aggressive ones... the trick is knowing which are the more agreeable.

You'll run into the same variances with fairy wrasses too, honestly. There are some puppy-dog species that love everyone, and some that won't tolerate a single other wrasse. And, all fish are individuals... I've had "peaceful" wrasse species become very aggressive with other wrasse in my tank. So, there's always some risk you'll have to remove a fish if it doesn't mesh well with the community...
