My tank I think is looking a bit bare

display tank is 3x1.5x1.5 (roughly)

Current fish
pair of clowns
fire goby
two tone wrasse

I'm just looking for something to help with algae control- my nitrate and phos are reading at 0, there isn't a heap of algae but just want a useful fish to help clear it up

Looking at blennys because I think all tangs and foxface are out for a tank my size

SO -
Bluespot
Lawnmower
Midas
Ember

Do these guys all eat different amounts of algae or are they all quite similar?

yeah my midas is definitely not an algae eater. liveaquaria says to feed some frozen herbivore stuff, but he isn't cruising around eating algae in the tank

just get some more CUC? i didn't have any algae eating fish for a long time and i rarely ever had algae issues.

Of the species listed, the midas is not a great algae eater, and ember blennies can be pretty aggressive. I would recommend a starry blenny.

I've never seen a starry blenny in Australia, fingers crossed I can get it. It's much better looking than the lawnmower :p

I've 2 hermits, 2 money cowries and 2 astrea snails. I think I could add more of these but snails are so expensive here for some reason it's like $20 a snail...
