So - I have 2 LFS's that I trust.

One says they like Larry's because it is "cleaner" food. The other says they like Rod's because it has more in it and smaller pieces.

I feed pellets once in the morning ( I have flakes, spirinilla, spectrum, etc), and frozen food (Rod's or Larrys mixed with PE Mysis) once in the evening. When I have herbivores, I also feed Nori.

One store says to add something like Emerald Entre and protein mixture like pro salt seaworm supreme to the "normal" diet. The other says with Rod's and PE Mysis, you should be good to go because Rod's has everything in it.
I also used to put a little 1/2 clam in every now and again as a treat.

I understand that when I have a Mandarin, I might add fish eggs into the mix and of course I will be growing copepods. And for anthias, I may add cyclopse and special food depending on what fish you add.
Stock list:
Already have/will have in main tank within the next 2-4 weeks:
2 ocellaris clowns - in now
1 Cardinal - QT finished in 2 weeks
2 wheeler's shrimp gobys - QT finished in 2 weeks
Scooter blenny - coming from main tank soon
Flame hawk - coming from main tank soon

Have in an old tank, will be adding at the end - WAY LATER:
Foxface
Sailfin

Planned for the future (feel free to weigh in)
firefish
mandarin
powder blue tang
naso tang
McCosker wrasse
Leopard Wrasse
yellow corris (maybe - can't decide what I want the 3rd wrasse to be)
Niger Trigger - - - I know . . . risk with a mixed reef. Thinking I will get a baby and "raise him right" with the knowledge that he **may** have to find a new home if he is not a model citizen.

Thanks for your help and advice!!

I have issues with Rods and LRS. I use both and have both in the freezer but those chunks are gigantic and none of my fish can eat the big pieces. Do people grind it down or something or does everyone keep tuna in their tanks? I feed brine, mysis and that calanus from PE as well. I stopped feeding pellets after bad algae.

I have nano fish... clowns, sapphire damsel, hi fin goby... I take this amount and thaw it in a shot glass with a little bit of tank water. Then I just kinda mash it against the glass so it's small enough for my fish. I dump it in right at the return nozzle and it blows around the tank like a snow globe.

cool thanks, I do the shot glass thing too but don't mash it. I will try that tonight :)

I use LRS fish frenzy, Hikari mysis, new spectrum pellets, and some ocean nutrition flakes.
Reef roid and reef chili for the corals once a week. oh and selcon soaked into the mysis once a week.

Never used rods but I imagine they are both pretty similar honestly.

I feed LRS Reef Frenzy, Mysis, Marine Cusine, Angel formula, and Nori. Once or twice a week I will throw in a few pellets, either NLS or PE Mysis.

I feed Black worms fed with selcon they won't live on just selcon I tried, white worms, pods, Rod's food, and I make my own some times I am also trying a food called masstick the fish really like it

My fish wouldn't touch masstick. I even mixed in frozen. They just don't know how to graze I guess

I feed LRS Reef frenzy (any big chunks I save and feed to my RFA's). My larger wrasses will eat any but the largest pieces as long as they're not close to being full. I also feed Hikari mysis, nori, NLS pellets occasionally, and Hikari blood worms occasionally. I think the more variety the better.

I feed Larry’s reef/ fish frenzy, nori sheets, blackworms and rods original and just started my own seafood blend.

Care to give out your secret recipe? :)

No secret recipe just a mix of different fresh seafood some fish oil and some other vitamins. About to try add some other things to the mix for my next batch but I have to ask the big dog Humblefish first to make sure I’m good with what I want add

chopped white shrimp & gulf shrimp, kens' mini mysis sticks, flakes and reef roid & chilli
