So I have been feeding my fish new life spectrum pellets. I got PE mysis from LFS but they are huge even my clowns wanted nothing to do with them. So I'm wondering what you guys use to feed your fish. I know they need a variety of food so I'm looking for something to add to the new life spectrum pellets. Thanks guys

I feed Hikari frozen brine and mysis
ocean nutrition formula two flakes (have both Algea and fish protein)
Algea wafers
Algea sheets
Tdo B2 and frozen baby brine for my mandarins

also they get the leftovers of what is too small for my eels so bits of fresh squid, fish, and krill

Mainly clams, oysters, scallops and sometimes frozen cubed food like mysis, brine, krill and very rarely small pellets like once a month.

And everytime go lfs buy few bags of live food

Edit: also algae sheets 2x a week clipped and stuck to side of tank.
And when feel like it some algae flakes

Frozen PE calanus, frozen bloodworms, frozen mysis, frozen brine shrimp and frozen krill plus live baby brine shrimp and live pods. I use a pair of scissors to snip up the frozen food into smaller pieces. I obviously never get all of it so some stays large for my fish that can take larger food but then I get smaller pieces for my smaller guys. The only ones I don't take scissors to are the calanus and krill. They're already small enough. I also add in vitamins and selcon every few days to make sure they're getting all nutrients. My fish eat better than I do. Haha.

Rods brand fish only, reef, and fish eggs. Pellets, mysis, spirolina brine shrimp, Hikari herbivore and sheets of nori are what I currently have.

This will produce variable answers as many have their favorites, some have limited access, etc.
This is just SOME of what I feed:

They have a variety but not like that. Did you guys have to drive to multiple places to secure that?

Also making your own food can be a little messy but much cheaper.

I get mine from 2 places. Either my LFS or Petsmart. I only use Petsmart when I am lazy or in a bind. My LFS is 45 miles away. They have a better selection and WAYYY better prices. If I only need one pack though, it's cheaper to just get it at the local Petsmart.

I also no longer buy the "Multi-packs" I can get the same foods in individual form for less cost.

I asked on a different thread about dosing phyto and rodifers for natural food. I think this will be helpful to my fish as my firefish is picky

Fish will only benefit from phyto second hand. Phyto helps with algae while providing food for pods. Which in turn the fish eat. It just promotes an overall healthy environment.

Wow!! I'm going to have to see if my LFS can get some of these. I haven't seen half of them like the frozen rotifers, mussels and plankton. Living in Canada I wonder if some of these are prohibited which is why I haven't seen them! That's an amazing selection!!
