What Gives SF?

The closest LFS to me is a Petco. They sell SF Bay brand msyis. Last time I was there, they were out. They're in stock again but the packaging is different. Each cube is maybe 2/3 the size of the previous bubble package (from memory). Slightly irritating because I was used to a certain size (and cutting that in half). I don't have the old package handy to compare OZ but has anyone else noticed this? Am I getting less shrimp now?

I don’t know if mine is old or new but it says 30 cubes and 3.5oz for Coral Cuisine.

Hey thanks for looking at that. This one is 3.5 oz as well. So getting the same amount apparently. Still annoyed by the size lol. I was in a routine at feeding ya know

Ps. But like you said not sure if it's old or new... Oh well. Just curious as I can't really shop around locally...

IIRC there are two sizes of frozen cubes in the blister pack. Maybe you got the smaller.

I swear they were shaped like rectangles like the first pic (they were not mini however I couldn't find a pic) and now they're square... Maybe I'm just losing it lol

Boy the saltwater tanks at this Petco really took a dive. Not one coral. Hairy live rock. It's a shame because the same guy works there... I get really envious of people posting some pretty nice looking stores with decent selection (for petco)

There was a yasha goby (I think) floating in a bag and I really hope nobody forgot about it. You had to bend over to see it on the bottom tank... If it'd work with my tank I'd snatch it but idk

I like to buy the Sally’s Mysis big 8 oz block but Petco doesn’t carry it and my LFS only sometimes carries it. Petco always has the big block Brine Shrimp but not Mysis. Not sure why.

Not Hikari but that's the shape they were! I know because I can only get Hikari at one LFS near me and I haven't been there in a while (for food at least).

Funny you say that but when they were out, they had Sally's flat packs but they were stamped STORE USE ONLY NOT FOR SALE. I was like...comon! Went with ON (which was great) instead of trying to talk someone into something omw home from a long day lol
