What happened to Dial dimming Black Boxes?

I used to see them all over ebay for around $70 but now they're all button dimming. I was going to pick up two of them, anyone have experience on the button type vs dial and which is better?

Right those brands are still out there but i'm talking like the completely unbranded ones.

yea I was looking into SBreeflights too.

Right they have the buttons adjustable ones but all the dial adjustable ones disappeared. So my question is if anyone has experience with the button vs the dial and which was better.

No, they have dials on. the basics.

I'm not concerned about dial versus button potentiometers, I'm scratching my head over the fact the "button" models don't have fans??? How are the doing that. I'm tempted to buy one to see how long the LEDs last without fan cooling.

That's a very good observation! I'm a bit curious now too.
"fanless aluminum housing cooling" doesn't sound like it's going to be very effective

And I just caught this in their Technical Specifications:

Recommend Lighting Time: 14 hours on, 8 hours off

A 22 hour day! What am I to do for 2 more hours? Must have been lost in translation.

I apologize for yet another post, but I keep reading more....for I love Chinese Black Boxes....can't be beat.

However, that said, one thing I don't like about both linked lights from the OP is that they are single cord. My preference is to have two cords, one for predominantly white channel, and one from predominantly blue channel. This way my controller can decide when each channel comes on and off. These newer models are full on or full off. Don't like that. JMTC

Hmm I haven't looked into controllers yet but that is definitely something good to know for planning into the future! I had thought that the two cord led lights were just older models so I was avoiding them but now I see that they hold benefits too.
