What happened to diamond sifting gobi

He has always seemed healthy and great. Today he has this bump inside him. He still ate some food today but his swimming seems labored. What is that bump. Thanks!

looks like either constipation or even a rock or similar object it ingested and cannot pass thru.
Not sure if it will eat it but you could try boiling a couple of frozen pea and taking the meat out and feed to it. Usually helps with such situations.

If you look bottom to top, you can almost see dark spot. Other possibility is internal issue which would be treated with PraziPro

Thanks again for trying to help. But to give you closure he died. Took less than 24 hours so I don’t think I had a chance to help him. He was healthy when I went to work and looked like that when I got home. I tried to feed him some peas and he ate a few bites. I figured five that a day and if nothing changed when I came back to work the next day maybe go to qt tank and Medicate with something. Not sure what. But he was already dead and had been for a while. He was alive in the morning with no change but I had no time to try anything more at the time. I think something was impacted in his digestive tract or something that I had no chance to help. Wish I knew how it happened tho or if I had any way of preventing it. I like to learn a lesson when a fish dies. Not sure there is one here. Well I did learn about peas. Might come in handy again.

Sorry to hear about this. It’s difficult not to be sad when these things happen. I’m sorry I can’t add anything to help but I did know about the peas helping with fish digestion.

To possibly offer assistance, we had one that had the hump in it after it tried to jump out of the tank and hit the hood. It only swam in weird circles after that so we gave it a humane disposal to end the suffering. We think broke or fractured it's spine and caused internal bleeding.

I agree the sand wouldn’t be enough. And the guy who sold me my tank and the fish should have told me not to get him yet. I really didn’t know what i was doing when I got him but trusted this guy with a lot of decisions on fish to get and ones I shouldn’t. But he loved pellets and mysis and anything I fed everybody else. He ate really well every day even if the sand didn’t have what it needed. So I don’t think he started.
