125 gallon evaporation 1 gallon a day.

Well, I'm pretty sure that's what happened to your tank.

Even here in Sydney, Oz, I never let the tank go over 28 even if it means putting bags of ice in the sump.

Here in the uk we don’t get extreme heat but for them two days it reached 40c!

Yeah one event precipitates another, good luck!

It could be the skimmer but I doubt it. You get air exchange on the surface as well

I sometimes turn the skimmer off, or rather Apex does, if the water level in the sump changes if Ive been altering down flow pipe settings. 2 days has been fine without issue

You mentioned 3 fish deaths, I would check for ammonia levels asap to see if thats the cause

I’ve been home for a few days and tank is looking much better now.
I tested my water and the only thing that’s not great is the 0 nitrates. My anenamones are closed up and been like this since I got back. Would this be due to what happened while I was away?
