What happened to ORA pink stylo

I’ve been seeing a lot of the ORA pink stylo a that look like they’ve been crossed with the purple. I had one years ago that I though looked a lot more bright pink. Am I wrong? The ones on live aquaria just don’t seem to be as bright as I remember.

I could just be they are shifting color over time. Corals can and will color shift depending on lighting and parameters. Perfect example is the Walt Disney. Everyone, including myself, thought that the Walt Disney is only green, But in fact it is one of the worse at color shifting. If grown under T5 lights it will shift to blue, to the point that you will say their is no way that is a Walt Disney. I am in the process of watching my Walt Disney shift from green to blue.

You should contact the vendor you purchased the piece from to request a refund. Fraudsters!

I’m looking for this type of pink. The live aquaria pink looks like a dark photo. The stellar Ora one looks closer

Bump. Ive asked this before here too. Such a pretty pink.

Why do hobbyists only seem to keep all the stylos except this one? Live Aquaria does have it but you have to look in their wild->SPS section. Its sold out often but comes like your pic, sized well bc its wild.

Just wonder why local hobbyists or sites dont sell it much.

It is probably just the lights that you are looking at it under. I have one under 14k halide and it is still very pink. Most pink corals need a good amount of daylight to keep the vibrant pink color.
