What happens if i added too much agent green?

I didnt see my reading change so i added a double dose. This wont affect anything will it?

If too much lanthanum chloride binds with the phosphates in your water you could end up with a lot of precipitate in the water which could potentially irritate livestock. Are you running a filter sock to catch the precipitate? Also, depleting PO4 too quickly and bringing your system into a state of nutrient imbalance could also lead to livestock irritation, assuming you keep coral and aren't just running a FOWLR tank.

Reduced alkalinity and excessively low phosphate can result from using too much lanthanum.

Some folks have also seen side effects on fish even at normal doses, but that isn't the usual outcome.

Thanks. If i did a water change tomorrow im assuming this will bring things back up to normal minus the phosphate that i removed? Im unaware of what precipitate? Means in a reef tank

I did notice that the KH had dropped to 5. But still in the lower end of NSW levels so this will be replenished with the water change

Much of the lanthanum added to a reef tank will precipitate (turn to a solid material) of lanthanum carbonate, which reduces alkalinity. YOu may need to boost the alkalinity is too low.

What salt mix are you using? A high alk salt mix might bring it up.
