What happens when chalices grow into each other?

I'm not a huge chalice guy but I do have 3 frags. I placed them all in the same area as I like the color contrast. They are all growing quickly so it won't be long until they move into each others territory.

What happens when they meet? Anyone let their chalices grow together? Pics would be great.
 
It depends on what you've got, some will get along some will not.
 
He's right, some will touch and just be fine growing and keeping a slight touch against one another without any issues, on the other hand some will even reach out and touch another one at night and kill the entire colony by the time your lights go back on. I have lost quite a few that way so I just don't let them get that close anymore, if I can help it.
