Well heading to Nashville to pick up the ole ghost tank.....maybe might also pick up so more make believe frag tanks...and. haul on my fabled trailer...wish me luck.

Received a frag from Joe Knows Reef of the WWC The Situation chalice and it looks awesome.

Good timing since my grandma just passed away and this will cheer me up a bit.

Props to Joe on shipping and coral quality.

Lord no. I'm certainly not offended. I was just wondering what you were talking about. I know some people start build threads before they actually have the tank, due to the amount of preparation it takes for their particular setup. For instance, some people have to have a stand built, run electric, frame walls, etc. I guess it would be akin to saying that someone wasn't building a house because they didn't have the roof sitting in the yard waiting to go on while they were digging the footers. You always start with the foundation, correct?
I figured a build started at the inception. The very first part of building a house for instance, is planning and having an architect design the house.
I understand that "residential" size tanks are often easily purchased in a "kit". Larger "commercial" size tanks are a different creature. A 1500 gallon volume system is a totally different build than say my 120 gallon with a 40 breeder sump.

I understand that larger tanks require longer planning. The largest tank I have personally owned was actually pretty large. I'm not new to this game. I had to brace under the floor for it and plumb things in the garage and all that.

What I was saying, and it was a VERY minor thing...not meant to cause a hubub, is that I personally prefer build threads that start with the person actually having the tank. It's super boring to see someone preparing for a tank that they're not going to have for half a year or MORE.

Just my opinion. Wasn't a big deal.

Sure guys continue the arguing in the most popular thread ever posted from an ETRC member.

Also snide remarks are not needed from anyone.

I wasn't trying to argue! Sorry Rob.

I just wasn't expecting to have to defend an offhand comment I made a week ago that was entirely my personal opinion.

I'm sorry as well. It was very impolite of me to question the opinion of a fellow member. It won't happen again. Please remove the ignorant comments I made.

Sometimes things can appear more harsh and personal, or in a negative tone online than they are intended I think we need to all remember that in person, many comments would have been accompanied by a sly and joking grin....and would be taken as such.

I totally agree, Spencer. Good comment.

I think I often am interpreted harshly when my intention isn't bad. I suck at using those stupid emoticons.

Man I'm like a Duck! Just let it roll off your back like water and let the loose end drag! It don't mean nothen,so whay get ruffeld feathers.I recon were all still friends last time I look, just people voiceing their oppinon, luv ya'll,and thats mine! lol!!!!

Well I actually used 2 whole sticks of putty mounting my entire frag racks. I'm out of super glue. Lol. And have more tome grmillepora I have a bunch ready to go. And blue spiny lobsters will bull doyour frags unless you you mount them.

Just got back in town and heater was not working. Water was 75.3 so it must not have been out for long. No damage done. Replaced heater and good as new. This is the reason I always keep a spare heater and recirculating pump. Good thing it didn't happen during the winter.

I ordered like four heaters because apparently all the heaters in my house are those recalled Stealth ones. I think one of them went bad and some of the frogs that I love so dearly (in my freshwater tank) kicked the bucket. I'm none too happy about it.

Hope you get to feeling better Karen, that stuff isn't any fun at all!Drink lots of fluids, get plenty of rest, and chicken soup, don't forget the chicken soup!Thats what GranMa use to say! lol :ohwell:

Added a new ATO reservoir to my tank. Elite aquatics 5 gallon ATO... Now all I need is to win the sump to match. Lol
