I have always been fond of the ebo jagers and have used them successfully for years
How about you?

You guys should put your vote in for viaaqua its on the list ;)

I use viaaqua in my reef and deepblue professional heatstik in my freshwater tank. I have noticed the viaaqua runs a bit hotter than I set it for, setting at 72 give me about 75-77. Never had real issues with either heater but I do like the smaller size of the viaaqua compared to the deepblue.

My first choice is Jager's....their glass is twice as thick as others. The only problem with Jagers is that they are long. My second choice is Sera's. That's it!

Mostly any heater I come across, crank it to 100% and plug it in to apex, keep my tank 76.0-76.1 pls & thank you apex!

Same jager, controlled by apex. Even without the apex was easy to get a constant temp.

This might be a little off topic, but I am curious.

Why are so many people using glass heaters instead of a titanium made heater? Is there some benefit I am unaware of? Ive always liked titanium due to the durability.

I've heard and seen the rubber ends on the titanium heaters to break a seal causing water to enter the electronics...

Had 2x theo's thermostat fail, as did the therm on my jager in my SPS recently. Luckly i noticed at 82 degrees. Now have it on a controller. How is the cobalt I'm thinking of getting a 25w for my 3g picotope.

I use Marineland heaters - they're not on the list, checked other. I just looked up heaters and they're more expensive than the others. Maybe for a good reason. I've never had one fail on me. Knock knock.

I set my heater a few degrees above my controller, if for some reason the temp probe gets pulled out of water or water level drops or controller goes crazy the heater will shut off on its own. I try to have double if not triple protection on everything I can. To much money to loose if something goes wrong.
I use jager heaters on all my tanks
